Bio/Research

Since joining the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine faculty in 1992, Dr. Olatunbosun has been active in improving infertility services for infertile couples in Saskatchewan. In addition to providing clinical services, he is involved in basic research in andrology, clinical research in perinatal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, fertility preservation in patients with cancer, and international reproductive health research. Dr. Olatunbosun is active in medical education and curriculum and faculty development.

Dr. Olatunbosun attended medical school at the University of Lagos Nigeria graduating in 1973. He obtained residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Saskatchewan receiving fellowship of the Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1981. Following residency, he completed gynecologic oncology fellowship and held academic and clinical appointments in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is an active member of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine among numerous other medical societies. Dr. Olatunbosun served as Department Chair (1999-2009) and as Interim Chief of Staff and Vice President Acute Care for Saskatoon Health Region (2006-2008). Throughout his career Dr. Olatunbosun has been recognized as an excellent medical educator and has received several teaching awards and leadership recognition.
