Dr. Seidou obtained his undergraduate degree in civil engineering in 1996 at École Mohammadia d’ingénieurs, Rabat, Morocco. After a short stay in a construction company, he completed a postgraduate diploma in applied informatics at École Inter-États des Ingénieurs de l’Équipement Rural in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. He completed his master degree and his PhD at École polytechnique de Montreal in 2002, before Joining Institut National de la Recherche scientique, centre Eau, Terre et Environnement in Quebec from 2003 to 2007. He joined the university of Ottawa in July 2007, to teach various courses related to water resources engineering. Dr. Seidou is involved in several national and international research projects related to climate and water interaction, hydrological modeling, adaptation to climate change and food security.
