Paola Cappellaro received a BS (2000) in nuclear engineering from the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and an MS in applied physics (2000) at the same time from Ecole Centrale Paris in a double-degree program. She came to MIT for her PhD and received that degree in 2006. She then joined Harvard University as a postdoctoral associate in the Institute for Theoretical Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics. She joined the nuclear science and engineering department in September 2009 as an assistant professor and as a member of the Research Lab for Electronics.
