Professor Rigia came to the University of Bridgeport after an exciting career in the Fashion Industry. Professor Rigia graduated from the University with an AA Degree in Fashion Merchandising and a BS Degree in Marketing. She began her career as an Executive Trainee with Abraham and Straus and later moved into the discount business with Korvette. She has held positions as an assistant buyer, a buyer, and a merchandise manager. Teaching from experience and having the ability to go back into the field to keep current as well as embracing current trends and technology is the best of both worlds.
