Bio/Research
Dr. Brassard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McGill University. He is a specialist in community and preventive medicine and is involved in clinical activities both at the Montreal Chest Institute and the Royal Victoria Hospital as a public health /epidemiologist infectious disease control physician. He is also a consulting physician at the infectious diseases control unit of the Montreal regional health board.
Since joining the Division of clinical epidemiology of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) in 1998 he has been successful in obtaining grants from CIHR and FRSQ as well as a new Investigator career award from the CIHR. He has created a network of collaborators from McGill and Université de Montréal that span many aspects of epidemiological research in infectious diseases.
Dr. Brassard is an active Member of the Réseau FRSQ in Prescription Drug Users, Respiratory Diseases and AIDS/Infectious Diseases.
