Ray Viola has been a Palliative Care physician since 1991. He trained in medicine at the University of Toronto, family medicine at Queen's and palliative medicine at the University of Ottawa. He obtained a Masters degree in epidemiology at the University of Ottawa in 1997. His research interests are in end-of-life/palliative care. He joined the faculty at Queen's in July 2003 and at RORU/CCE he is carrying out end-of-life health services research. He is a Career Scientist of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
