Bio/Research

Rebecca Beausaert is a specialist in Canadian history. She earned her PhD from York University and began teaching at the University of Guelph in 2013. She has taught several courses for the Department of History, including offerings related to Canadian history, women’s and gender history, disease and health, the First World War, and food history. Her research interests include the histories of sport, leisure, food, agriculture, gender, and the First World War in the context of rural and small-town Ontario in the later 19th and early 20th centuries.
