Research Interests: Applied , Medicine, and Healthcare; Content Analysis of Medicare Part D on Prescription Drugs; Pedagogy of Experiential Community Engagement; Use of the Humanities, especially Theater and Film, in Premedical Education
Professor Bonk teaches courses leads the Program in Professional Writing at Widener University. His course repertoire courses the full gamut of Professional Writing, with a focus on science, medicine, and healthcare as contexts for writing. Presented at international fora, Professor Bonk's research interest have been published and recognized widely; he was named a Fellow of the American Medical Writers Association in 2009. His third book, Writing for Today's Healthcare Audiences, is currently under contract. His personal interests are ice dancing and watercolor painting.
