Bob Dalrymple was instrumental in the development of the School of Environmental Studies. Cross-appointed from the Department of Geological Science and Geological Engineering, Bob has been active in the School ever since its inception. He is a clastic sedimentologist with wide-ranging research interests that focus on modern and ancient coastal and shallow-marine depositional systems. His research is directed toward understanding how such environments behave at time scales ranging from their very short-term response to tidal and storm processes to their decadal and longer-term evolution in response to sediment supply and sea-level change. Ongoing research projects are based in South Korea and the Ogeechee River, Georgia.
