Bio/Research

Generally I am interested in the ecology and behaviour of arthropods as well as distance education in science. I have worked with insects (i.e. distribution of mosquitoes, feeding in grasshoppers, chemical attractants of horse flies) and arachnids (i.e. scent glands, taxonomy and distribution of harvestmen, spider predation and distribution, and distribution and taxonomy of solifugids). In education, I have worked on how science, especially biology, can be taught at-a-distance.

One of my projects is helping create a library of images that are copyright free for teaching purposes, the Digital teaching Resource Library for Biology or Bio-DiTRL.
