Bio/Research

Earned his M.F.A. degree in Printmaking and book design/illustration from the Academy of Fine Arts, Krakow, Poland in1981. He also earned a diploma in Polish language and history in undergraduate studies from the Jagiellonian University, (University of Krakow) in 1976. Starting in 1983 in New Hampshire Robert has been teaching various art related and studio art courses including teaching in the capacity as Assistant professor of art at Rivier College, Department of Art, Nashua, NH. Returning to Gainesville where he graduated from high school Robert in 1986 joined the Santa Fe Visual Arts Department where he currently teaches Drawing I, Drawing II, Painting I, Two Dimensional Design, and Watercolor techniques. Robert has been active in community art related events in Gainesville since moving back in 1986, among other activities he has been the curator for three international exhibits at SFC and co - organized a major print exchange exhibit with the University of Florida and the Academy of Fine Arts, Krakow, Poland. Robert served as juror in regional art festivals, and is a founding member of the Sweetwater Print Co-op. His work has been shown regionally, nationally and internationally and is in both private and public collections.

His current series of paintings and prints continues to build on themes he has worked on in previous years. These images include portraits and imaginary landscapes linked to autobiographical scenes, half memories and dreams. His landscape imagery also serves as a repository of present day thoughts and visions.
