Said Mikki, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in electrical engineering. While working as a research fellow in Royal Military College of Canada, Kingston, he has developed in the period 2010-2015 new foundations for the electromagnetic theory of radiation near fields, and also proposed the antenna current Green's function (ACGF) as a general formalism suitable for the analysis of electromagnetic communication and energy-processing structures. His current research interests include spatial diversity and MIMO communication systems, Direction of Arrival (DoA) estimation and prediction, radar and sensor systems, novel numerical methods, nonlinear system theory, electromagnetic energy, electromagnetic mutual coupling, metamaterials, high-frequency circuit design, and new methods for the synthesis of antenna devices for wireless communications.
Other research interests outside his professional field include continental philosophy, art, and the history of science.
