Dr. Maggi is an interdisciplinary scholar with formal training in developmental epidemiologist, developmental psychology, and educational psychology. Dr. Maggi is cross-appointed between the Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies where she teaches in the Child Studies program and the Department of Psychology at Carleton University. Her research focuses on the social determinants of children's mental health and the role of early childhood education and community social capital on child developmental outcomes. Dr. Maggi is also interested in promoting a child-rights approach to research among review ethic boards and developmental and educational researchers.
