Bio/Research

The research program of Dr. Jabaji is targeted towards understanding the molecular mechanisms of mycoparasitism and induced resistance by non-pathogenic and symbiotic soil organisms. Her interests focus on molecular plant pathology, characterisation, expression and quantification of fungal genes that encode cell wall degrading enzymes, and genes involved in induced resistance. She is also interested in detection and quantification of soil-borne pathogens and biological control agents from biological and environmental samples using PCR techniques.
