Sumeet Gulati joined the Forest Resources Management Department as an assistant professor (jointly appointed with the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences) in August 2002.
His current research topics include the impact of international trade on the environment, and the optimal management of natural resources for sustainable economic development. He is also studying the export response of different provinces in Canada to the US-Canada Softwood Lumber Agreement.
Sumeet's teaching responsibilities include an undergraduate course "Land and Resource Economics", and a graduate course "Advanced Economics of Natural Resources with Applications to Forestry and International Trade."
