My primary focus now is on active conservation in Garry Oak and coastal Douglas Fir ecosystems in British Columbia. My former research focused on costs/benefits for birds living in patchy habitats at the patch and landscape scales and on reproductive success of birds in agricultural and logged areas, the role of corridors for bird movements, and bird responses to habitat edges
