My research focuses on individual, community, and organizational responses to environmental hazards. I am interested in hazard awareness, risk perception and mitigation, particularly in areas that are prone to natural or technological hazards. A major area of research focus is wildfire risk perception and mitigation activities by homeowners and local governments. I am also currently involved in research that examines how university campus community members would respond to an emergency alert.
