Bio/Research

Tarah Wright is the Director of Environmental Programmes in the Faculty of Science at Dalhousie University and focuses her research in the emerging field of sustainability in higher education (SHE). Tarah has published papers covering a wide range of issues in sustainability and higher education including: developing definitions and frameworks for sustainability in higher education; examining the challenges and barriers to achieving sustainability within higher education institutions; analyzing the implementation of the Halifax Declaration within Canadian signatory universities; and using the Delphi Technique to consult stakeholders in the development of an environmental policy implementation plan. Additionally, Tarah recently collaborated on a participatory action research project focused on the development of indicators of sustainability for Canadian universities.
