Dr. Stengos' main teaching area is econometrics, and his research interests are in nonparametric methods.
His research has been published in journals including the "Review of Economic Studies", "European Economic Review", "International Economic Review", "Economic Journal", "Journal of Monetary Economics", "Journal of Econometrics", "The Review of Economics and Statistics", "Journal of Applied Econometrics", "Journal of Business and Economic Statistics", and "Journal of Economic Growth".
He joined the Department of Economics at the University of Guelph in 1984. He received a BSc in economics from the London School of Economics (1979), an MSc from the London School of Economics (1980) and a PhD from Queen's University (1984).
