Professor Wollmann studies industrial organization and, more broadly, applied microeconomics. His research interests include the interaction of product entry and pricing and the impact of this interaction on business and public policy, the compensation of entrepreneurs when they have private information about product quality, the impact of research investment on scientific progress, and how managers can use rules-of-thumb for complicated dynamic decisions.
