Tim Gleason is an academic expert in journalism ethics, communication law and communication ethics. At the University of Oregon, he is a professor of journalism specializing in communication law and ethics. His current research focuses on public access to information and the definition of a “journalist.” In addition, Gleason is the director of the Ancil Payne Award for Ethics in Journalism and a former dean of the School of Journalism and Communication. He also serves as the University’s Faculty Athletics Representative.
