Timothy Janikowski is an associate professor in the Department of Counseling, School and Educational Psychology and the director of the Counselor Education doctoral program.He teaches or has taught courses on counseling theories, legal and ethical issues in counseling, counseling practicum and internship, and substance abuse and addiction. He has published over 30 articles in refereed journals and co-authored a textbook on rehabilitation and substance abuse treatment.He earned a PhD in rehabilitation psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988 and taught at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, before coming to the University at Buffalo-SUNY in 1999.
