Trent A. Patterson is in his seventh year as Director of Choral Studies and Music Education in the Department of Music at Webster University. A veteran music educator with nearly two decades of teaching experience, Dr. Patterson previously taught in the Orange County Public Schools (Orlando), one of the largest and most diverse school districts in the United States. Previous appointments include Director of Choral Activities at Davenport Central High School (IA) and Associate Choral Director at Winter Park High School (FL). During Patterson’s fourth year at Webster University, the Chamber Singers performed for the 2014 Southwestern Divisional American Choral Directors Association conference in Little Rock, Arkansas, and they were the headline college/university choir for the 2014 Missouri Music Educators Association conference at Tan-Tar-A. The Chamber Singers have undertaken three consecutive spring tours, with concert performances and high school exchanges in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Florida. Their 2016 spring tour to Central Florida included a set of performances with Grammy award-winning singer Josh Groban.
