I am a health geographer. My most established research focus is on issues of chronic illness and disability. I also have expertise in palliative care and primary health care, along with health-related social programs (e.g., caregiver support programs, disability support programs). My newest and most significant research focus is on medical tourism. I currently lead the first study funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to examine issues surrounding medical tourism, and work on this study with other colleagues based here at SFU.
