Victoria Wolcott, a historian, can speak to the media on a wide range of topics related to civil rights and social and racial justice.She has published books and papers examining the struggle for equality in the 20th-century United States. Her work has explored numerous topics related to this struggle, such as the experience of black women in Detroit in the early 20th century, and efforts by African Americans to gain access to recreational spaces such as amusement parks, swimming pools and playgrounds across the United States. Her current research examines the emergence of experimental interracial communities in mid-20th-century America.Wolcott has taught courses on African American history, race and civil rights in America, and the American city.
