Vivian Howard is an assistant professor in the School of Information Management at Dalhousie University, where she has been teaching since 1996. Her PhD dissertation, completed through Aberystwyth University, Wales, investigated the role of reading for pleasure in the lives of young teens. Vivian is also the editor of the YA Hotline Newsletter and an avid reader of young adult fiction.
