I am Associate Professor of Hebrew and Hebrew Scriptures at Queen’s Theological College and in the Department of Religious Studies, Queen’s University. Currently, I am Head of the Department of Religious Studies.
My major scholarly interests include the study of biblical law in the context of Ancient Near Eastern literature and the effects of violence on the development of biblical religion. Each of these areas of research has resulted in a monograph as well as various articles.
I teach courses in biblical Hebrew, the Hebrew Scriptures, ancient Near Eastern mythology, and violence and religion.
