Woan Foong Wong is an academic expert in international trade, trade costs and trade and transport. At the University of Oregon, she is an assistant professor of economics. Woan Foong’s research focuses on trade costs, specifically factors that impede and facilitate trade flow. These include transport costs, trade agreements, and resource misallocation. Woan Foong’s recent research explores the round trip effect of transport costs and international trade. Past papers look at the free rider effect and market power in trade agreements and preferential trade agreements.
