Dr Yves Bergeron earned his B.Sc. (1977) and Ph.D (1983) in Biology at Montreal University. Dr Bergeron also worked as an research post-doc at Centre d'études nordiques (Laval University) and University of Calgary. He worked as a researcher at the ecological research center of Montreal (Montreal University) until obtaining a position as professor at Quebec University in Montreal (UQAM) in 1985. Dr Bergeron receveid Jurdant award (1999) and Mr. Personality (2002). His research interests include perturbation dynamics, forest management based on natural disturbance, dendroecology as well as forest ecological classification. Dr Bergeron his member of Center of Forest Research (CFR) and Director of the Industrial CRSNG-UQAT-UQAM Sustainable Forest Management Chair.
